Снизить потери воздуха из промежуточной камеры служебного модуля (СМ) “Звезда” Международной космической станции, где ранее была обнаружена утечка, удалось за счёт ограничения работы космонавтов в ней, остальное время камера изолирована, сообщил в интервью РИА Новости гендиректор Центра имени Хруничева Алексей Варочко.
“По промежуточной камере модуля приняты меры с целью устранения обнаруженной утечки, они имели некоторый успех. Снизить потери воздуха из камеры позволяет её периодическая изоляция от остального обитаемого отсека модуля. Экипаж входит в камеру на время проведения в ней работ”, – сказал Варочко.
По его словам, в целом эта неисправность не оказывает существенного влияния на работу МКС, но специалисты продолжают поиск причин утечки и способов её устранения. Кроме того, сейчас продление срока службы “Звезды” до 2028 года подтверждается с учётом проводимых мероприятий.
Он также рассказал, что работу СМ удалось продлить по результатам проведённых ранее ресурсных испытаний макетов-копий модуля и анализа степени расходования ресурса конструкции в полёте.
В 2019 году на МКС была зафиксирована утечка воздуха. Как удалось выяснить космонавтам, место утечки находится в промежуточной камере российского модуля “Звезда”. Там же впоследствии была обнаружена трещина длиной в несколько сантиметров. Трещину несколько раз заклеивали. Позже стало известно о наличии второй трещины, а потом и еще трех мест возможной утечки. Космонавты их загерметизировали.
После этого официально не сообщалось об обнаружении каких-либо новых источников утечки в корпусе МКС или их устранении.
В конце 2023 года в пресс-службе “Роскосмоса” сообщили РИА Новости, что российские космонавты на борту МКС регулярно заняты поиском возможных мест утечки воздуха с российского сегмента, полученные данные они передают для анализа специалистам на Земле.
